Enough with the rain! Came back up to bolt in the 2 by 12s to the piers and it was raining. Rivers were overflowing and roads were closed, again. My property, and especially my trails, are becoming rivers of mud - uck!
But the next day became a glorious fall day - sunny, and in the 70's - a perfect day to crawl under my cabin to strengthen the framing.
This turned out to be easier than expected - Using a stronger drill , I powered through the piers and bolted them in. I then completed tacking in the braces to the frame of the cabin , and the rafters to the braces. This was a breeze with the nail gun. Pulling out the chainsaw, I also cut off the top of the piers.
Easy as pie.
The next day the rain returned, and I left.
